Platelet-Rich Plasma, PRP
Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP is the process of using your own stem cells and micro-needling them into your skin. This process encourages your fibroblasts to stimulate collagen re-growth with a faster healing time than micro-needling alone. This is why PRP is best paired with our SkinPen. PRP facial treatments (sometimes inadvertently referred to as Vampire Facelifts®) are comprised of natural substances your body already produces. There are no synthetic chemicals involved and the procedure takes under an hour. Unlike other treatments, which are used to target specific wrinkle lines or problem areas, PRP stimulates your own collagen renewal for complete rejuvenation, revealing a younger appearance and smoother skin. Because there are no unnatural components involved in the procedure, PRP treatments have a very low risk of causing adverse reactions.
What are the benefits of PRP?
A progressive non-surgical healing treatment used in a variety of fields
Easy to use, rapid and effective process that only requires a small sample of blood
Uses your own platelets as a natural stimulant for collagen (rather than synthetic chemicals)
Sculptra Aesthetic® is a type of facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. The main ingredient is a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material that has been used by physicians for decades. A full treatment of Sculptra Aesthetic – an average of three injection sessions over a few months – can last more than two years; so you have more time to see how sensational subtle can be. Discover anti-age for the modern age. For more information about Sculptra Aesthetic, please consult the Sculptra Aesthetic website.

Restylane Silk™ – Like the other members of the Restylane family, Restylane Silk is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid – a sugar that is naturally present in your skin. Like other areas of the face, the lips and skin surrounding the mouth show signs of aging as an individual gets older. This often results in lip thinning, lost shape and an increase in vertical lines above the lip. Restylane Silk™ is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these areas. That’s why it’s made of smaller, smoother particles than those used in other Restylane products. For more information about Restylane and Restylane Silk, please consult the Restylane website.
Restylane Defyne™ Crafted with XpresHAn Technology™, Restylane Defyne™ helps smooth out deep laugh lines (nasolabial folds and marionette lines). Using innovative cross-linking technology, Restylane Defyne is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is able to help restore a more youthful, natural-looking appearance, while helping you maintain your natural expressions. As we age, our skin loses elasticity and the lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) become more pronounced. Restylane Defyne is crafted with XpresHAn Technology™ to correct these deepened lines. The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Defyne is also designed to help support your facial expressions – for natural-looking results that help maintain your natural movement. For more information about Restylane Defyne, please consult the Restylane website.
Restylane Refyne™ – Designed with XpresHAn Technology™ to help soften laugh lines. This can help you restore a more natural look to your face while maintaining your facial expressions. So, you always look like you. As skin loses elasticity with age, the lines that run from the sides of your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) appear more noticeable. Restylane Refyne is a specifically formulated hyaluronic acid dermal filler made with XpresHAn Technology™ that helps correct these lines for a more natural look to your face. The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Refyne is also designed to help support your natural expression – for real-life results that help maintain natural movement when you’re smiling, frowning, and even puckering up. Talk to your specialist and see for yourself why it’s worth it. For more information about Restylane Refyne, please consult the Restylane Refyne website.
Restylane Lyft™ – Just like other products in the Restylane family, Lyft (formerly known as Perlane-L®) is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid, adding volume and fullness to the skin. What makes Lyft different than other Restylane products is the average size of the particles and the depth of injection, which means it’s a good choice for more severe facial wrinkles that benefit from a deeper injection into the skin. Wondering if Restylane or Lyft is right for you? During your consultation, our Cosmetic Nurse Injector will be able to help you make the right choice for treatment. For more information about Restylane Lyft, please consult the Lyft website.
Juvederm Ultra™ and Juvederm Ultra Plus™ – Kiss those parentheses lines goodbye – instantly. Juvederm smooths out those parentheses lines along the sides of your nose and mouth (the nasolabial folds). Juvederm is the only FDA-approved HA filler that lasts up to one year with one treatment. Some HA fillers have a granular consistency; only Juvederm has unique Hylacross™ technology, which gives Juvederm its special, smooth-gel consistency. You’ll get a smooth, natural look and feel that holds up over time – so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! For more information about Juvederm Ultra, please consult the Juvederm website.
Worried about a one-size-fits-all wrinkle treatment? With Juvederm injectable gels, Body BeneFits customizes your treatment for you, and gives you the instant, natural-looking results you want – all in one treatment. You can experience Juvederm injectable gel with a quick, in-office procedure in our relaxing, spa environment, with minimal downtime. During treatment, our Cosmetic Nurse Injector will ease Juvederm under your skin to smooth out the moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. You’ll see the difference instantly! For more information about Juvederm, please consult the Juvederm website.
Volbella™ by Juvederm adds fullness to the lips and softens the appearance of the lines around the lips. Volbella is formulated with Vycross®, a proprietary filler technology from Allergan, which yields smooth products that have been engineered to address specific patient concerns such as lip fullness, age-related volume loss in the cheek area, or perioral rhytids. Vycross® blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid which contributes to the gel’s duration. In addition, Juvederm Volbella® XC has been customized with a lower HA concentration, while still providing the long-lasting results healthcare providers expect from the Juvederm® collection of fillers. This makes Juvederm Volbella® XC a soft, smooth gel appropriate for adding subtle volume to the lips and softening the appearance of perioral lines. For more information about Volbella XC, please consult the Volbella website.
Voluma XC™ by Juvederm is the first and only FDA-approved injectable gel to instantly add volume to your cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over the age of 21. It can give you contour and a subtle lift for up to two years with optimal treatment. As you age, it’s not just about lines and wrinkles. Your cheeks can lose volume and skin may begin to sag. Voluma XC injectable gel is designed to temporarily reverse these signs of aging. It is a gel that is injected into the cheek area to lift the skin. It temporarily adds volume to the cheek area and results in a smoother contour and more youthful appearance to the face. For more information about Voluma XC, please consult the Voluma XC website.
Botox™ – Botox Cosmetic works beneath the skin’s surface to target the underlying muscle activity that causes frown lines and crow’s feet to form over time. It blocks the release of a substance called acetylcholine. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe wrinkles to form. Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes, collagen depletion, or damage caused by free radicals. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet. Botox Cosmetic™ is the first and only FDA-approved prescription product that temporarily improves the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and moderate to severe crow’s feet in adults. For more information about Botox Cosmetic, please consult the Botox website.
Dysport™ is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas. Over time, the muscles above and between the eyebrows repeatedly contract and tighten, causing wrinkles. But, with just one injection into each of five points between and over the eyebrows, Dysport blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines. For up to four entire months, you could have the look that you love. For more information about Dysport, please consult the Dysport website.
Kybella™ (deoxycholic acid) injection is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, sometimes referred to as “double chin.” You and your Body BeneFits professional will design a treatment plan tailored to you, to help you improve your chin profile. During your treatment sessions, your injector will administer Kybella into the fat under your chin using multiple injections. Many patients experience visible results in two to four treatment sessions. Up to six treatment sessions may be administered spaced no less than one month apart. For more information about Kybella, please consult the Kybella website.
Body BeneFits is also pleased to provide B12, and B12 Lipo (Fat Burner) injections. What are B12 Lipo weight loss injections? Often referred to as Lipotropic B12 Injections, Lipotropics or vitamin B12 with Lipotropics, B12 Lipo are weight loss combinations made from compounds that enhance liver function and increase the flow of fats and bile from the liver and gallbladder. Lipo-B decreases fat deposits, and speeds up the metabolism and the natural removal of fat from the body. By definition, a lipotropic substance decreases the deposit, or speeds up the removal of fat within the liver (lipo = fat, tropic = stimulate). There are three key amino acids used to make these lipotropic shots are Vitamin B12, Choline, Methione, and Inositol. Vitamin B12 is essential for helping to form new, healthy cells in the body. It also boosts energy, helping to increase activity levels. Choline supports the health of the liver in its processing and excretion of chemical waste products within the body. Methione is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids that acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and the body; it is also helpful in relieving or preventing fatigue, and may be useful in some cases of allergy because it reduces histamine release. Inositol, a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex, is closely associated with choline. It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol.
Glutathione (GSH) is a peptide consisting of three key amino acids that plays several vital roles in the body. Longevity researchers believe that it is so pivotal to our health that the level of GSH in our cells is becoming a predictor of how long we will live! The key to understanding why GSH is so crucial for health is that every cell in our bodies produces it. Although it is absolutely essential to maintaining a healthy immune system, it is not technically an “essential nutrient” because the body from the amino acids can create it L-cysteine, L-glutamic acid, and glycine.
Some of the functions that GSH is responsible for include:
· Conjugates (“links together”) with drugs to make them more digestible.
· Is a cofactor (“helper molecule”) for some important enzymes including glutathione peroxidase (which protects you from oxidative damage).
· Is involved in protein disulfide bond rearrangement (which is critical for the biogenesis of 1/3 of all human proteins).
· Reduces peroxides (natural bleaching agents that are harmful to the body).
· Participates in leukotriene production (vital component for inflammatory and hypersensitivity reactions).
· Helps the liver detoxify fat before bile is emitted, which takes stress off of the gallbladder.
· Helps detoxifies methylglyoxal, a toxin produced as a by-product of metabolism.
· Cancer apoptosis (“programmed cell death”).
In addition to helping these vital functions continue in the body, the list of glutathione benefits is long and wide:
· Plays a crucial role in immune function.
· Promotes T-cell function, which is critical for a strong immune system.
· Helps prevent drug resistance.
· Protects from environmental toxins.
· And it fights cancer.
The Eurothread lift is the hottest new thing from Europe to tighten and smooth skin. Not only are results instant, they improve with time, have long lasting effect and require no significant down time.
Eurothreads are a very exciting and new addition to the aesthetic tool box. They meet an unmet need in aesthetics in that they actually lift the soft tissues of the face and neck with a basic, in-office procedure with little to no downtime and with excellent results. Eurothreads, themselves are dissolvable threads that are placed under the skin in different areas to achieve lifting of the cheeks, the jowls and the neck bands. The procedure is performed effortlessly in the office and it has minimal discomfort for patients. Results are instant and improve with time. These results will last up to a year and a half!
What are Eurothreads and how do they work?
It uses a polydioxanone (PDO) material for office-based skin tightening and for lifting of the soft tissues of the skin and body. This same material has being used for surgical procedures for 30 years. The threads are inserted and when the needle is withdrawn, the thread remains under the skin. The suture material then undergoes breakdown over a period of 6-8 months, however the results continue to last for up to a year and a half. Eurothreads stimulate collagen formation and result in improvement of the skin quality and texture over time and helps with volume and lifting of areas that have laxity.
What are the best uses for Eurothreads?
Eurothreads have demonstrated benefits in all areas of the face and neck. The most effective results are in the lower third of the face and neck. Lifting the cheeks up with placement of the threads and in the lower third of the face is a really exciting area for the placement of Eurothreads as traditionally this has been a difficult area to address with just injectable fillers. For example sagging of the jowls and the neck are areas where you can see drastic improvement. We have also seen dramatic improvement in crepey skin in multiple areas of the face and body.
What is the patient downtime and how long do the Eurothreads last?
Well, of course, it all depends on the patient and their particular problem. Generally there is little to no downtime with this procedure. There is minimal discomfort and the patient can resume their daily routine soon after undergoing a treatment.
Eurothreads are new to the US. How long have they been around in other countries?
This technique has been used in Europe and in Asia for many years now with great success, and we finally have access to it here in this country.
Which areas can be treated?
· Fine lines and Wrinkles
· Saggy cheeks
· Loose or saggy neck area
· Peri-Oral Lines (Smoker lines)
· Saggy Jawline or “Jowling”
· “Necklace” Lines in neck
· Vermillion Border or Lip
· Arm tightening
· Thigh lift
· Butt Lift
