Treatment for Raised Age Spots.
Eskata is the first FDA approved (40% hydrogen peroxide) topical treatment used to treat raised seborrheic keratoses (SK). SK’s can be flat or raised* with a color that is normal to your own skin tone or darker. Flat SK’s have a velvety or shiny texture. Over time, they may get bigger or more may show up. They may also become thicker and raised with a waxy or rough texture. SK’s can appear anywhere on the body, but most common are on the face (hairline and temples) neck, chest and back. They are harmless as they pop up with age. SK’s are harmless and non-cancerous and generally don’t cause pain or discomfort. They are generally caused by age and genetics and are very common and easily removed. If you have any concerns consult your dermatologist before treatment or schedule a free consultation with our nurse practitioner.
